A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he fabricates. Catherine Owens Peare wrote about a man who led his people to independence. Mahatma Gandhi was natural in Porobandar, India on October 2, 1869. His mother taught him about Hinduism, to help him choke something of himself. Gandhi had an interest in police, he traveled to England to attend law school. Gandhi became a lawyer, he was given an assignment in Africa by his friends to save his job. This fight for Indian independence was very long, therefor it is necessary to start at the beginning.

In 1893 Gandhi was on a select traveling through South Africa. Gandhi had been perplexting in kickoff class, when a white man had walked in, the man directly went to the conductor. He came back with the conductor saying he would be thrown off the train at the next confirmation if he refused to give up his seat and go to one-third class with the other colored people. Gandhi moves and sits with the driver at the recess when another man says he wants to sit next to the driver Gandhi very frustrated refused. The man began to beat Gandhi until two passengers offered to permit Gandhi sit with them. The man says this to Gandhi, Take care, let me once loll to our destination and I sh every show you what I do (ch.3 pg.33).



This shows how racial the whole incident was, the first man would not sit in the same train car as Gandhi because he was colored. The second man had no respect for Gandhi at all telling him to sit on the floor because he treasured to sit next to the driver. All the men on the train were racist toward


colored people as if they were a disease. His first trip to Africa was just the thing Gandhi needed to get him started on his rebellion.
