* The Gleiwitz was staged attack by national socialist forces posing as Poles on 31 August 1939
* The German forces invaded Poland from the north, south, and west.
* Polish forces then withdrew to the southeast Roumanian Bridgehead
The USSR s eccentric was to inspection and repair the German in defeating the Poland completly
* The Soviet Red Armys onset of Eastern Poland on 17 September
Facing a second front, the Polish government concluded the defense of the Romanian Bridgehead so an emergency evacuation to neutral Romania.
